Waiting...

Isn't it crazy how much time we spend waiting in life? Think about it...waiting at a drive thru at the bank, waiting for someone to call you back, waiting for pay day, waiting for a friend who is always ten minutes late...the list goes on. We are constantly waiting in a society that is the most faced paced society since the beginning of mankind. All I have to say is thank God that I live in today's society. Think what our forefathers had to wait for...they had to wait to arrive to their destination across town for a day or two in a covered wagon...they had to wait for their crops to come in...they had to wait for their clothes to dry on a line...they had to wait for their house to heat up. So, all I'm saying is really that I hate waiting...but I'm so thankful for the things I don't have to wait for! Does this make any sense??? Thoughts from Pastor Tina today!

Pastor Tina,
How right you are! Being 50 something, I remember the time before instant communication. If a land line phone (rotary dial!) did not connect you, then you had to either write a letter and mail it or go to wherever the other person lived. While I am also thankful for not having to wait for things, I must remember to slow down and not get caught up in the mad rush to do more and more.
